My name is Jay Armstrong, and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Chattanooga, TN. I utilize solutions focused approaches to address the mental health/counseling needs of men, women and couples such as depression, communication, anxiety, trauma, porn addiction, substance abuse, confidence building and self-esteem. My clients are primarily males, and I enjoy a special rapport with men who seek to self-actualize and become better versions of themselves.
I strive to create a laid-back, judgment-free, safe space for my clients where they can be and say whatever they choose, however they wish. My interaction with my clients is conversational, affirming, understanding, and empowering.
I prefer a collaborative yet client-led approach, helping them identify strengths, challenges, skillsets, and support systems. I also stress the importance of self-care while partnering with clients to assist them in establishing and achieving their life goals.
