I work closely with clients learning to cope and address past traumas, mental health disorders, life transitions and couples counseling. My approach is relational as I believe a solid, safe and trusting environment is what leads to honest conversations and growing challenges which are both important to healing.
I utilize CBT, Solution Focused, ART, Gottman and other modalities in order to create a blend of approaches that work best for each individual.
I have worked with many clients struggling with anxiety and depression that either needed coping skills, a listening ear or space to express their experience.
Despite the weight that comes with trauma work, it is where my heart is.
I also have over 18 years in child welfare and am versed in adoption, family court, custody battles, childhood trauma and more
I have experienced many hardships in my personal life and I know the struggles that come from not feeling heard, seen or worth someone’s time. I take that experience and provide an atmosphere of support, laughter when appropriate, and consistency which allows others to open up and experience growth they weren’t expecting to have.
