We all experience challenging seasons in our lives, and these periods often shape our identity. The question is whether they will drive us towards despair or spur us into growth. I approach my clients with compassion and understanding for where they are and where they have been, and hope and challenge for the future. I strive to create a space where people feel truly heard, affirmed, accepted, and valued. As a licensed clinical social worker, I have worked with individuals ranging in age from 5 to 75 years old.
I have walked with people through anxiety, depression, panic, self-injury, adoption-related concerns, aging challenges, school refusal, grief and loss, parenting goals, and infertility. My approach depends on the needs of each individual and their personal goals. I often incorporate play and activity-based therapy with children and teens.
I draw guidance from Existential Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Family Systems, and many trauma-informed methods. I am open to exploring spirituality if this is something that interests my clients. I believe that peace, hope, and joy are attainable for each person, no matter the challenges they face.
