I believe in the importance of building a meaningful connection with clients, prioritizing empathy and support in those client-therapist relationships. I am passionate about helping people navigate perinatal concerns such as infertility and family planning, pregnancy loss, birth trauma, and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. I also have experience with grief and loss, anxiety, depression, marital concerns, parenting concerns, and couples counseling. I am committed to providing affirming care to the LGBTQIA+ population.
I draw on my lived experience as well as my education and trainings in my work with clients. I grew up in Germany and immigrated to the US in my twenties; I enjoy working with people from all countries and value their unique culture and customs. I have completed my Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) with Postpartum Support International.
To quote Robert Frost, "the best way out is always through." Sounds easy, but sometimes seems insurmountable, especially when you feel like you are trudging up a mountain by yourself.
