Congratulations on taking the first courageous step towards improving things in your life. I have been providing psychotherapy services to people for over three decades as a Licensed Psychologist. In that time, I have learned that each person is unique; with their own combination of strengths, struggles and histories. We start with getting to know each other and then focus on what you want to change/improve. We work together to set goals and then to achieve those goals. I view this process as a collaborative process.
My client population is generally diverse. I work with adults, children, adolescents, college students and families. I have worked extensively with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD, life transitions, and grief. The interface between physical and mental health is also an area of interest for me.
I use a variety of strategies to help clients make changes. Some of these strategies include cognitive and/or behavioral interventions, gestalt techniques, guided imagery and hypnosis, and education. I also believe that laughter is an important tool in the process of healing and making changes.
