About
Acknowledging that you or your child need support is the first step in the therapeutic process. Due to the complex nature of the relationships in our lives, it is often helpful have a neutral person to offer a listening ear, guidance, and to facilitate a process of gaining more insight about yourself. My goal is to support you, your child, and/or your family in your own unique process. I can help you in identifying and regulating emotions, stopping negative thoughts and patterns, overcoming challenges, strengthening relationships and utilizing healthy coping skills. I look forward to connecting with you and/or your child.
I am comfortable working with a variety of issues and with all ages. Specifically, I am experienced and trained in evidence-based practices to treat depression, anxiety/fear, substance use, and trauma in children/adolescents/adults as well as inappropriate or concerning sexual behavior in children/adolescents.
My approach is warm, curious and playful. I create space to build a trusting relationship where processing and healing feel safe. Besides talk therapy, I weave mindfulness, deep breathing, trauma-informed yoga, play therapy, and nature-based approaches into the work. Additionally, I offer hiking/walking sessions in the woods as well as remote sessions.
