I specialize in working with young children and their families. I use age-appropriate interventions to assist children in working towards resolution of the emotional distress that drives problem behaviors. I work closely with parents to support them in learning to reconnect with their children on an emotional level. I work with autistic children and adults who struggle with anxiety and depression. I use a person-centered (and child-centered) philosophy of therapy.
Play therapy is an expressive arts therapy that allows children to process painful feelings in a non-threatening manner. Play therapy is a way of working with children that takes into account their developmental level. I primarily work with children ages 3 to 13. I see toddlers together with their parents.
