Online DBT Skills Groups 11a-12p abd 2-3p
Dialectical Behavior Therapy Group: Weekly, psychoeducational skills training using a biosocial approach, helping people understand the challenges with controlling emotions and actions. A year-long, open group for those wanting to build healthier lives. Challenges include: relationships, harmful behaviors, difficulty with change, extreme emotions/moods, impulsivity, etc. Group provides each participant with a safe, supportive environment while increasing knowledge and skills in mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation and distress tolerance. Using the researched, evidence based, DBT Skills Training Manual by Linehan, the group will engage in learning skills, practicing skills and reviewing how it went before learning a new skill.

2 Online DBT Parenting Groups: Tues. 12-1 & 1-2pm
Dialectical Behavior Therapy Parenting Group: A weekly, psychoeducational, skills training specifically for parents. Using a biosocial approach to help people understand the challenges in controlling emotions and actions. A year-long, open group for learning healthier/more effective parenting skills. The group provides weekly time to focus on increasing knowledge in mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation and distress tolerance skills for raising children. Using the DBT Skills for Parenting Skills Manual by Richard Watson, LCSW, based on Linehan’s DBT skills modules, group members learn and practice skills, and then review the outcome before learning the new skill each week
