About
Welcome! It takes courage to be open and honest with a new therapist. I can help if you are struggling with your mood, feeling irritable, overwhelmed, sad or scared. If you are a bit impulsive, perhaps lapsing into old behaviors of which you are less than proud then I'd love to meet you. I am calm, kind, caring and nonjudgmental but also very practical and helpful in concrete ways.
My specialty is in the areas of trauma and problems with depression, anxiety, and addiction. I work in individual therapy using a combination of CBT and psychodynamic approaches. I also use EMDR and elements of DBT as appropriate. I have experience working with non-binary and trans individuals as well .
I believe in providing a profound respect for all individuals, making it possible for you to feel cherished for your very presence. In that environment you can relax and at times laugh and be very vulnerable. Healing can take place. I look forward to hearing from you!
