Becoming a new parent can be a challenging time. Sometimes this can include postpartum depression/anxiety, as well as feelings of loneliness, isolation, and even some scary intrusive thoughts. As a certified perinatal mental health counselor, I am here to help you navigate this new time in your life. I also work with couples struggling with infertility and miscarriage as well. If you feel overwhelmed with sadness, worry, or struggling with feeling connected to your new baby, I would be honored to help. I welcome all families, and hope that you will feel safe and respected as we work together.
I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused, and Narrative therapies to help clients achieve their goals. Above all, I am empathetic, genuine, and non-judgmental. My goal is for us to work together to help you through whatever difficulty you may be experiencing.
I'm a certified in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders through Postpartum Support International. It's an honor for me to work with new families dealing with postpartum depression and anxiety, as well as adjusting to the new role of parent. Having struggled with postpartum anxiety, I have a real understanding of how challenging it can be for new parents.
