I am a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor who specializes in helping clients cultivate a recovery-oriented, growth mindset in their quest to overcome eating disorders, addiction, trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, body image issues, low self-esteem, codependency, and conflict in relationships. I believe we all possess the power to free ourselves from old patterns and social conditioning that no longer serve us, find meaning, purpose and hope in the inevitable suffering life throws our way, and live authentically according to our own value system.
My counseling style combines existential-humanistic principles with a strengths-based, person-centered approach and a mixture of cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing techniques. I am also trained in the art of ecotherapy and love to incorporate nature into a client's healing journey.
My fierce passion for the recovery process stems from my own lifelong path to wellness, and I bring a unique combination of personal and professional experience to my work. I view therapy as a team effort, with counselor and client working together to triumph over adversity!
