Hi there, I am an LCSW with over 15 years of experience practicing social work. I specialize in working with teens and adults diagnosed with anxiety, depression, or those struggling with life right now. My expertise is Adolescents/Teens, Anxiety, Coping Skills, Depression, and Job Stress. I use a mix of Acceptance and Commitment (ACT), Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Mindfulness-Based (MBCT), and Motivational Interviewing during sessions. I believe that you will learn to change how you feel and what you do by changing your thoughts.
I like to focus on your strengths and utilize those strengths perspective when engaging with you during therapy. I will teach you to focus on how you think and how that ties into your feelings and, ultimately, your actions. By changing your thoughts, you will learn to change how you feel and what you do.
During our first session, I will focus on engaging, building rapport, assessing for safety, and gaining a sense of the goals the client hopes to achieve in therapy.
