I've got 30 years of experience helping people navigate through the impact of traumatic situations and serious grief and loss, including sexual assault, domestic violence, abusive childhoods, chronic illness, and tragic death. I understand the crushing weight of hopelessness and thoughts that things will never be better or even different. I know that things can and do change and I strongly believe that we are not simply what happened to us.
I bring years of life experience to inform my practice, including being in a long-term relationship, raising children (including one with a chronic illness – Type 1 Diabetes), assisting elderly parents transition to care, going through retirement, and dealing with many challenging and difficult situations.
