My practice focuses on working with individuals who have substance use problems, have become dependent on alcohol or other drugs to cope with life's challenges, or have been deeply affected by substance use. (I practice under my LADC-I in Massachusetts.) As a compassionate professional with 9+ years of experience, and 31 years of personal growth in addiction and recovery, I get it! One of my favorite sayings is "curiosity replaces judgement". Let's be curious how you can move forward in recovery, and your life, without judging your past or worrying about tomorrow and just being present today.
My approach is eclectic and holistic primarily using motivational interviewing, narrative, solution-focused, and cognitive-behavioral therapies. I am a later-in-life graduate from Simmons University in Boston with a Master's in Social Work where I focused on interpersonal trauma and post-traumatic stress.
