Dr. Sweeton's clinical practice focuses on integrating neuroscience with evidence-informed approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapies, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, EMDR, somatic approaches, and interpersonal neurobiology. Dr. Sweeton is the developer of Neural Desensitization and Integration Training, a module-based, gentle treatment for PTSD.
Dr. Sweeton is a clinical and forensic psychologist specializing in trauma and PTSD. She completed doctoral training at Stanford University School of Medicine, and obtained a master's degree in affective neuroscience from Stanford University. She is currently pursuing a JD from the University of Missouri-KC and frequently conducts forensic evaluations.
