Therapy can be a big step for someone who is experiencing intense feelings of stress and life's challenges. My focus is to help you feel comfortable and heard so that you can focus on achieving your goals. I believe that therapy can help anyone through the process of developing improved habits and skills. Learning how to use these can improve our ability to be independent and more adaptable to life's changes. I understand life transitions and problem solving can be difficult when a lot is thrown at us at once. My goal is to help you be able to tackle those events piece by piece in a more manageable way.
I utilize evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy & Dialectal Behavioral Therapy while also integrating aspects of other theories. People have a hard time processing and experiencing big emotions. I aim to help you identify those feelings, learn how to express them and build resiliency to handle them.
I consider myself to be very passionate about helping and empowering others by providing a safe space to allow individuals to express themselves in a judgement-free environment. I am also fluent in the Spanish language; giving me the opportunity to further connect and provide services to those facing language challenges and barriers.
