Hello! My name is Jenn Sprinkle and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Registered Play Therapist (RPT) here in Colorado. I have been in the mental health field since 2014 working mostly in the school system with students and their families. I like to use a strengths based approach to therapy and focus on what you do have control over and can change, while also processing feeling/reactions about things that are not in your control. I also employ Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to dismantle any cognitive distortions that may be impacting your behavior/reactions.
My client focus is growth. Sometimes this may look like small steps or victories, but also remember you may have many habits/difficulties that have been around for a long time. These will take time to work through.
I like to create an accepting environment for my clients. You are the expert on you. While I may challenge you/your thinking at times, I like to do so in a gentle and supportive way. I want to be someone you trust and feel comfortable talking with on a therapeutic level.
