Groups
Eating Disorder Therapy Group
This flexible group is open to adults and older teens of any gender suffering from a disordered relationship with food and body. Issues may include Binge-Eating Disorder, Anorexia, Bulimia, chronic dieting, compulsive overeating, or other related symptoms. For individuals who need more support than individual counseling alone can provide, the additional tools and structure of a group can help make recovery a reality. These therapeutic meetings are an opportunity to connect with people who have similar challenges, experiences, and goals. Clients are typically encouraged to establish a dietitian and coordinate care with a primary care physician.

Mental Health 101- Support and Wellness
This group is facilitated by my colleague, a Licensed Social Worker at our Kettering office accepting clients with Medicaid, Aetna, UBH (which includes Optum, Premier, United Health Care), or sliding scale payment. It is an opportunity to learn and practice social skills as well as expand knowledge of mental illness and coping strategies. Open to individuals interested in support for issues related to anxiety, depression, self-esteem, grief, loneliness, coping with health conditions, or other life stressors. This group is in-person only.

Safety First- Trauma Skills and Coping
This group is facilitated by myself and a colleague, a Licensed Professional Counselor at our Kettering office or via telehealth. Accepting clients with Medicaid, Aetna, UBH (which includes Optum, Premier, UHC), or sliding scale payment. Safety First promotes awareness of safe coping skills while providing education about trauma. Curriculum is designed to decrease the negative effects of PTSD and especially complex trauma. Clients will learn relaxation for emotional regulation, healthy boundaries, grounding techniques, expanding personal and social resources. Clients encouraged have an individual therapist to explore more intimate details of trauma, within TCN or externally.
