Hello, my name is Jennifer, and I am a Marriage and Family Therapist. Over the past 17+ years I have predominately worked with children and adolescents and their families. I specialize in working with this population. My goal is not to just treat the child, but also to equip the parents to be able to help their child in the home. My goal is "parent as therapist."
While I love my time each week with my client, the parents are the ones doing the real work in the home. As a parent, I know that one of the most difficult feelings is seeing your child struggling and not knowing how to help. My goal is to help the child while also training up the parents to heal the entire family.
My preferred methods of treatment are CBT and PCIT as I believe they offer tools to help families quickly and effectively.
