Psychotherapy is a deeply personal experience that can relieve anxiety and depression, and foster authentic connection and meaning in our lives. In my work for 20 years now as a psychologist and author, I remain committed and passionate about helping clients uncover early dynamics that still seem to interfere with securing the kind of relationships and positive feelings about ourselves that we all strive for. I often find myself in the role of gently reminding clients about the parts of themselves that have temporarily gone underground, and are vital to their creativity and well-being.
Much of my work focuses on attachment, trauma and maternal health. I work with women during various developmental stages, particularly the transition to motherhood. My training includes issues throughout the perinatal period such as shifts in identity, postpartum mood and anxiety issues, and mother-daughter dynamics that impact women in early motherhood.
