Adolescent Social Skill Group Intensive

As humans we are social by nature, being able to connect with others is fundamental. An inability to connect and socialize appropriately can have long lasting negative effects on many levels, including a persons ability to excel at school, within a job/career, and ones interpersonal relationships. This group provides opportunity for individuals to work on self-awareness, interpersonal relationship building, and offers insight into how our behaviors affect us daily and influence the life we are currently creating. As well as providing insight, participants can improve the social skills necessary to move forward, work with existing strengths and build new and necessary social skills.

Adolescent Positive Coping Skill Intensive Group

Environment, school, and peer relations are among the top three stressors for teenagers. Adolescence is a turbulent phase that is accompanied by a number of stressors through this significant life stage. It is important for teens to be able to recognize when they are becoming stressed and overwhelmed and it is crucial to encourage teenagers to develop positive coping strategies in order to prevent further difficulties. In this Coping Skill Intensive, Participants will first learn to identify their triggers and warning signs then begin to practice positive coping skills in order to live more productive healthier lifestyles.
