About
I believe in the right of the individual to choose their path to recovery and that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for successful psychotherapy. I am passionate in my work with persons who are struggling with trauma, those experiencing various symptoms of Post-Abortion Stress (PAS) and persons struggling with problematic substance use. I am an advocate for harm reduction psychotherapy and evidenced-based medication assisted substance use treatment, including moderation rather than abstinence if that is the goal of the individual. My mission is to help my clients to reach the goals that they set for themselves.
I practice from a trauma-informed, harm-reduction perspective. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) which is used to address trauma as well as other issues. I recently completed a certificate program in Integrated Harm Reduction Psychotherapy, a compassionate and person-centered approach to problematic substance use.
I believe that health and recovery are possible when people are empowered to set their own goals and to build on their strengths in partnership with professional and compassionate clinical care. I would be honored to walk beside you in your journey! I DO NOT ACCEPT INSURANCE; PROTECTING THE PRIVACY OF YOUR MENTAL HEALTH CARE RECORD IS IMPORTANT TO ME.
