When children and young adults struggle their loved ones struggle too. That is why I work with children, adolescents, young adults and their families to help promote strong relationships and foster healthy individuals. When working with small children I specialize in using play therapy and providing a safe, confidential and calming environment. When working with young adults there is always a need to help dalth with past traumas while working to promote the skills to transition to a health adulthood. I offer a variety of services, including therapy, consultation, and assessment in a relaxed and comfortable setting.
I have specialized training helping children, youth and young adults who have experienced trauma and those who struggle with healthy attachments. Additional training includes play therapy, sand tray therapy, sexual assault, adoption, Birth-to-5, parent-child relationship and EMDR. Child and youth psychotherapy is highly personalized to each client.
Therapy for children and youth can be fun and meaningful. Most sessions will include learning more about themselves, thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and coping skills. This is done through playing games, talking, sand tray, drawing pictures, expressing feelings, and practicing what we learn while building a relationship between client and therapist.
