I believe that the therapist/client relationship is central to making progress. You have to find "the right fit" in order to feel safe, build trust, and share. I'm interested in creating relationships with clients that enable them to grow by increasing their self-awareness and understanding the positive and harmful ways that they relate to others. Many people struggle for a long time before deciding it's time to get help. It takes courage to try to change. But if you are willing to work in therapy, change is attainable.
I see people with a range of issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship problems. I have a specialty in perinatal mental health and work with individuals and couples who are dealing with infertility, pregnancy loss, transition to parenthood, and postpartum challenges. I also see couples who struggle with communication and conflict.
I know it can be difficult to take the first step towards asking for and receiving help. Sometimes it's easier to go with what you know, even if that's uncomfortable or not working for you. But my hope is that I can be there to support you through a process of exploration, to challenge you about your blind spots, and increase your capacity for joy.
