I am passionate about working with children, adolescents, and their families. I specialize in play therapy and solution focused therapy. I look forward to helping you or your child work through the every day struggles and sometimes overwhelming struggles of everyday life. I approach counseling from a holistic perspective and feel the child will benefit more from counseling if the family unit is healthy. This is why I invite the family to be a part of therapy and work to make the family a healthy place for the child/teen to grow and mature.
I have a Master of Arts and Education Specialist degrees in Mental Health Counseling from Gardner-Webb University. I also have a Post Master's Certificate in Play Therapy. Furthermore, I have completed level 1 and 2 training in Animal Assisted Play Therapy from the International Institute for Animal Assisted Play Therapy. I also offer Clinical Supervision.
We offer play therapy for ages 0-12 and a more interactive approach to therapy for teens and adults. We work very hard to meet our clients where they are and decide together the best way to move forward. We are here to walk this journey with you, not tell you what to do.
