I am passionate about working with children, adolescents, and their families, and I am the owner of a thriving private practice, Art of Therapy Center, in Gastonia. I specialize in play therapy and Adlerian therapy, helping children and teens navigate both everyday challenges and more overwhelming life experiences.
I approach counseling from a holistic, family-centered perspective, believing that children benefit most when the family system is healthy and supportive. I hold a Master of Arts and an Education Specialist degree in Mental Health Counseling from Gardner-Webb University. In addition, I earned a post-master’s certificate in Play Therapy, have completed Level I and Level II training in Animal-Assisted Play Therapy through the IIAAPT. I also provide clinical supervision to associate level counselors.
We offer play therapy for children ages 0–12 and a supportive, interactive approach for teens. We partner closely with parents to understand each child’s needs, meet families where they are, and work together to create meaningful change. Our goal is to support—not direct—your family’s journey.
