I have experience in helping clients with coping with developmental disabilities, addictions, LGBT-related concerns, personality disorders, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and depression. In the past I worked with youths and adults in both individual therapy and group therapy. Each person is an individual who has their own unique needs. Additionally there is a sense of collective- or universal-ness to many of our problems and you are not alone. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. You and I will work together to tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
My therapy style tends to be eclectic including elements of Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Interpersonal Therapy, Cognitive Therapy, and Humanistic Therapy. Much of my experience has been on integrated care teams and I understand that the balance between life, work, health, and spirit can often be difficult to manage.
