I speak truth and love to the hurting. I work primarily with adults and married couples. I am trained in EMDR therapy to help those who have experienced trauma. I have worked extensively with couples in crisis. I also have expertise in working with people who are coming out of abusive relationships, particularly those involving narcissistic abuse. I have helped people develop a sense of identity, boundaries, empowerment, self-care, and holistic well-being. I have helped people work through processes of forgiveness, grief, recovery, and abuse and trauma healing.
My ideal client is anyone who wants to do real therapy and not just come in and talk about fluff. I hope they are not coming to counseling only to walk away unchanged. I hope that they want to do the work in and out of session to heal and grow, and be their best self.
My communication style is direct. I certainly do that in love, but people tend to appreciate and want my direct approach. I have had many people tell me they got more out of one session with me than they have in years of previous therapy sessions with other counselors. Clients have described me as patient, direct, gentle, empathetic, encouraging, etc.
