I am well versed in issues associated with Adult Children of Alcoholics/Dysfunctional Families (ACOA), codependency, family of origin, grief & loss, chronic illness, career development, identity crises and significant life transitions. My approach is trauma-informed and strength-based. I incorporate mindfulness, DBT and other coping skills.
I gained this experience working in several outpatient settings where the majority of individuals were diagnosed with co-occurring disorders. I believe in the healing power of listening and the ability of therapy to transform lives. It's the place where I can be my authentic self which allows others to feel safe to examine what they could not on their own.
