Each person or couple begins the process of psychotherapy for different reasons. For some, there may be an immediate crisis or trauma to be worked through. Others may be experiencing extended symptoms of depression, anxiety, loneliness, sexual and relationship problems, or grief. Many seek to explore important questions of meaning, identity, spirituality, philosophy, gender issues, psychology, politics, and power. All are suitable reasons for depth psychotherapy.
My research specialty is in the area of forgiveness and the questions of why and how we forgive others and ourselves (or why we withhold forgiving), and how the real impacts of forgiveness affect the quality of our lives, relationships, and consciousness at large.
