Her experience in working with addiction and trauma inevitably leads her to focus on shame, anxiety, and depression since they are quite often co-occurring disorders. Jennifer utilizes Acceptance & Commitment Therapy to facilitate a majority of her sessions.
This action-oriented framework is congruent with her belief system and core values. She is also a trained practitioner in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, commonly referred to as EMDR. This adaptive integrative processing approach is highly effective in treating trauma, stress, anxiety, and panic disorders.
Using a holistic approach in practice, Jennifer acknowledges that a person is not their diagnosis nor are they defined by their addiction. Each person is a complex individual worthy of care and respect. Jennifer tailors her sessions to meet her client where they are at and works at an appropriate pace for them.
