As an AASECT- Certified Sex Therapist, I treat a full range of sexual, relationship and intimacy issues. Sex is one of the deepest and most powerful experiences we have, yet it can also cause distress and embarrassment when it does not go smoothly. Compounding the problem, many have been socialized to feel uncomfortable with sex or haven't received accurate sexual health information. Many people struggle in silence with sexual dysfunction or have erotic interests that result in tremendous amounts of shame.
I draw from 33 years of clinical experience as a psychotherapist and 13 years as a certified sex therapist, to offer specific suggestions to address sexual difficulties based on current research in the field. I am an Assistant Professor at UTHSC and work with residents to increase their insight and comfort within Sexual Medicine.
