I am a Certified Brainspotting Practitioner, and specialize in advanced, brain based modalities to deeply shift negative reactions to traumas or other life stressors. These methods go beyond traditional talk therapy, targeting non-verbal parts of the brain that mediate our Fight/Flight/Freeze responses -among other functions- -as key mechanisms of transformative change. Transformative change unfolds when the brain 'gets it' that experiences we have reacted to negatively in the past are no longer happening 'now'. Brainspotting evolved from EMDR and has many flexible adaptations that can accelerate brain change.
We may also integrate Emotional Freedom Technique, endorsed by the APA, Rapid Resolution Therapy, and IFS, engaging self-leadership in healing protective parts of self. At my discretion, we may use any method alone or combined, in way that is collaborative, experiential, and playful, with moment to moment relational attunement.
I have a particular affinity for actors, athletes, therapists, coaches, integrative health professionals, and mindful individuals who wish to flow into more present and thriving lives. Adults are treated individually for issues including, but not limited to: PTSD, C-PTSD, grief/loss, fears/phobias/anxiety, ‘motivational’ concerns/‘performance’ blocks.
