Hi! My name is Jennifer Jennings. I specialize treating trauma/PTSD, depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, life transitions, addictions, couples therapy, women and men issues, adolescents’, anger issues, grief/ loss, sexual abuse, relationship issues, co-occurring disorders, and working with the military. I work primarily with adults. I am a military veteran, and I served 4 years in the USAF.
My treatment approaches are Talk Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I am huge on person-centered as client’s are experts on themselves.
I am a strength-based therapist as it promotes self-determination, empowerment, and resiliency. It focuses on the client’s skills that are working for them and to build upon those skills. I also use a Mindfulness approach as it allows the clients to focus on their present condition (physical, emotional, and mental) from a non-judgmental view.
