My primary focus as a counselor is to help you feel understood, safe, and comfortable so we can explore how you can move through your life in a more manageable way! I use an integrative approach to therapy while using a strength-based, narrative approach to life stressors and difficulties while implementing other approaches to fit your needs and goals. In essence, this integrative counseling approach strives to balance mindful awareness, a genuine and empathic relationship with you, and a collaborative effort to identify what changes you can make to minimize emotional and behavioral disturbances or other concerns you may have.

I use research/evidence-based treatment models, whether you need help moving from a negative belief about yourself in a certain situation to a more adaptive one or perhaps you require small experimental changes in your behavior, with the intention of using those to gradually change your emotions.

I aim to meet my clients where they’re at to inspire change. I work to understand your unique strengths and struggles and create a safe space for your growth. Willing to come to therapy and face your own self-work is a monumental step that takes its own kind of bravery- I will be here to walk with you through that process.
