I take a straight forward approach to counseling. I am objective and direct, while being warm, easy-going and supportive. I will help you figure out what it is that is getting in the way of your happiness, wellbeing or success at whatever pace feels comfortable to you. Are you feeling motivated and ready to make changes in your life? I specialize in treating anxiety, stress, eating problems, relationship issues, work issues and trauma in adults. I utilize research-based interventions grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
My treatment framework focuses on: identifying problems, strengths/goals, psychoeducation, examining history and it's influence on current behavior and patterns, addressing past traumas, identifying/changing unhelpful thought patterns and limiting beliefs, gaining new awareness, building skills and getting really honest with yourself.
I am also trained in Integrative Nutrition as a health coach, I look at the whole person, rather than just from the neck up. I incorporate traditional approaches to mental health along with holistic approaches to wellness.
