I believe in forming a strong and trusting relationship with my clients. I am known for my warmth, patience, curiosity, creativity and energy. I work successfully with individuals who feel stuck; that something is blocking them from getting to where they want to be. They may have lost their motivation, self-confidence, feel sad or fearful, have difficulties in relationships, or are haunted by things that have happened to them. I am attentive to how each individual takes in information and engage that learning style in sessions. My ultimate goal is to help others be more aware of who they are.
I specialize in work with teenagers and adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma and relationship problems. I work primary from an Internal Family Systems approach, as well as Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. I skillfully meet clients where they are and engage a therapy style that works best for them.
I believe and understand in the power of moving beyond talk; to use art, music, and the outdoors in helping people to transform their lives because not everybody learns from sitting and talking. I understand some people are more kinesthetic and learn through movement or experience, or art and music.
