About
Counseling involves the sharing of personal problems and concerns with a professional who is trained in listening and helping that person or persons achieve resolution or acceptance with their problems or concerns. Counseling is a relatively short-term, interpersonal; theory based professional activity guided by ethical and legal standards that focuses on assisting people in understanding their personal situations. The general goals for the client are that he or she can identify the issues they wish to resolve or understand better and to develop a plan of action.
