About
Being at war with yourself and your body is exhausting. Maybe it started with your first diet in your teens or maybe it didn't start until later in life dealing with chronic pain or illness, or something else. You are sick of suffering and feeling like your body is an endless problem to be solved. It is hard to feel hopeful. Psychotherapy with me can help you deepen self-trust, self-care and self-acceptance. I have specialized training in trauma-informed approaches, including EMDR and Body Trust® which inform my holistic approach. I can support you to work through your past, honor your present and envision your future.
I help people who are hurting and faced with variety of issues often around their body size or eating behaviors, in addition to symptoms of depression, anxiety, chronic stress, trauma or relationship problems. I am a Health at Every Size® advocate and believe focusing on weight loss does harm, instead I focus on empowerment and inherent self-worth.
If it were as easy as 1-2-3, another self-help book or lifestyle change, you would be where you want to be right now, yet you find yourself here, struggling and wondering if life will ever change or get better. I believe it can. Visit my website to learn more: www.NourishedEnergy.com

Jennifer DiGennaro's Groups
Hungerwise 9 Week Process Group
Hungerwise is based on extensive clinical experience and the most up to date science about nutrition and weight. The goals of the program are to help people find a healthy, stable relationship with food, weight and movement, and put an end to obsessive thinking about their body. Each week small groups meet to discuss one of the Hungerwise steps in the provided workbook, troubleshoot, and offer each other support and encouragement. Jen DiGennaro, psychotherapist and owner of Nourished Energy, guides the group through the steps and creates community around stepping out of diet culture and stepping into your body.
