I specialize in providing individual and family therapy with a focus on childhood trauma and its resulting symptoms, such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Depression, and Anxiety. Childhood trauma can be anything from relational trauma stemming from difficult relationships with caregivers, to domestic violence, to physical and sexual abuse. Some symptoms of trauma may include low self esteem, codependency issues, insomnia, nightmares, phobias, lack of adequate coping skills, and physical symptoms such as headaches and chronic pain. I also have experience working with grief and bereavement, and embrace working with spirituality and meaning of life issues.
I also have experience working with parents on parenting skills for children of all ages.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Clinically Certified Hypnotherapist. Hypnotherapy is a great compliment to traditional psychotherapy.
