As a therapist, I understand and appreciate the mixed emotions that accompany one's decision to ask for help. It is my goal to create a space where you feel safe and supported as you share your personal story. My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and non-judgmental. I will help you to increase awareness around your thoughts, feelings, and behavior so that you can make positive changes in order to live your happiest life.
I have experience working with individuals with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder, substance abuse, and PTSD and complex trauma. Theoretically, I draw upon person-centered, psychodynamic, culturally-sensitive and trauma-informed therapies, as well as cognitive- and dialectical behavioral therapies (CBT and DBT).
In the past, I have worked in the medical and non-profit sectors, but I find that a private, one-on-one setting is most conducive to individualized therapy. We will work at your preferred pace in a relaxed, comfortable environment.
