Therapy is an opportunity for self-reflection and personal growth that requires a compassionate and safe therapeutic relationship. I practice from an insight- oriented approach that allows for an increased awareness of past and current relational patterns. Together we will examine these patterns, develop tools, and find ways to respond differently in order to alleviate immediate stress while also creating lasting change.
Through my experience working at Northwestern University and other college counseling centers, I am familiar with life transitions of young adults and college/graduate students. I specialize in mood disorders, relationship and family of origin concerns, and emotional, physical and sexual trauma.
I am committed to working with culturally diverse individuals facing a wide range of difficulties. Through warmth and patience, I aim to create a supportive and accepting space that allows clients to feel heard and understood. I provide individual, couple, and group psychotherapy at my office downtown in the Loop.
