Hi there, I'm Jennifer! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of California. I have experience working with all ages including children, adolescents, families, and adults who have anxiety, depression, psychosis, substance abuse, a trauma history, and history of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). I utilize brief solution-focused therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), client-centered therapy, and motivational interviewing to accommodate my clients' needs.
I try to be a good listener. I try to help my clients be relaxed and not anxious about getting therapy. I tend to use a conversational style of communicating.
Our first session will involve a required intake to get a thorough background. I'll explain that the intake is not indicative of how therapy goes.
