I can provide education, emotional skills, coping strategies, and a compassionate ear. As a CBT and ACT therapist, I use therapy and skill building, looking at the interplay between our beliefs and ideas, our experiences and environment, and our values and choices in life. I also address biopsychological concerns such as sleep, neuropsychological functioning, breathing, and fight or flight responses.
I've been in mental health for over 30 years, with over 20 as a licensed psychologist and clinical neuropsychologist, focusing primarily on PTSD, anxiety disorders, depression, and neuropsychology. This is a telehealth group for Big Beautiful people who want to use group support to identify goals, values, and live their best life - regardless of their larger size. The group is inclusive, and on-going, with half the session focused on sharing and support in a world that is not always accepting of size, and another half focused on strategies for reaching personal goals.
