Is your child experiencing challenging behaviors? Have you or a family member had a recent stressful event or transition? Having trouble with intense emotional responses or reactions? I will help you assess and plan for these special needs and develop a family behavior plan that targets specific areas for positive change.
Children/families who see me often experience: defiant/oppositonal behaviors; school refusal; temper tantrums or anger outbursts; non-compliant or disruptive behaviors; attention difficulties; isolation/withdrawal and high-risk behaviors. I am also skilled in working with bonding and attachment issues between caregivers and children. I am available for behavioral consultations in the home.
My areas of expertise are in parenting techniques, anger and stress reduction techniques, cognitive behavioral therapy and short term-therapy. I also have many years of experience working with teens and very young children in the foster care system and with parents of children diagnosed with developmental disorders.
