After the research that has been done, what matters most is the relationship (the fit) you have with your therapist, not their level of expertise, sense of humor, great coping skills, etc. However, I do best with individuals who are highly motivated to change. That does not mean that there will not be setbacks. However, it's how we view those setbacks. Are they failures or learning experiences? I prefer learning experiences. My goal is to get you to be your ideal self.
Based on life experience, I can completely relate to what so many of my clients are going through. It's especially helpful that I was in the military because it helps break down that wall between a therapist and a first responder. I also truly love what I do. I want people to become their very best. I have great skills but rapport building is my strength.
