Expression is essential in everyday life, especially when working through difficult times. In some circumstances, it can be difficult to verbally express oneself. Creative expression can demonstrate one’s thoughts and feelings in a tangible way. Art Therapy can be helpful in exploring one’s thoughts and feelings and fostering self-awareness. As an Art Therapist, I have the ability and knowledge to bring artmaking into therapy to help facilitate the healing process. I practice with a person-centered, strength based, creative approach to meet clients where they are and help them start to make changes and to heal.
I have my MA in Art Therapy with a Specialization in Counseling from Seton Hill University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), as well as a Board-Certified Registered Art Therapist (ATR-BC). I have experience with Trauma Informed Care, CBT, DBT, and MI, as well as Crisis Intervention. I am available for in person sessions, as well as telehealth.
I am available for LPC and ATR-BC supervision for those seeking licensure and board certification. Please reach out for more details.
