My work as a therapist is to assist you to do just that...to help you learn about yourself, but to learn with much more compassion and empathy than you've likely allowed yourself before. Whether you are seeking couple's, individual, or family therapy, I will work with you to understand the issues you name more fully. We will then identify resources, strategies, and tools you can use to address and manage those issues more effectively. I utilize psychodynamic, CBT, EMDR, mindfulness-based, and relational approaches, and attempt to offer a holistic perspective.
I believe that relationships are central to one's happiness and so helping people foster healthier relationships is a primary theme in my work, no matter what the modality. I have specialized training and much experience in couple's therapy though most of my cases continue to be individuals.
