Many of my clients enter into therapy with varying levels of ambivalence, fear, and confusion about the therapeutic process. I spend the first sessions getting to know my clients and build a strong therapeutic relationship with them so that they feel safe enough to look deeper into the issues that have brought them into therapy. As the therapeutic process unfolds, I most enjoy helping clients learn to better understand themselves, as well as their environment, and eventually come to a place where they can accept themselves fully. I believe that self-acceptance is the key to living a more fulfilling life.
My therapeutic style is to be authentic & genuine with each of my clients. I work dynamically and interactively, so you can expect therapy to feel as though you are talking to a dear friend. Together, we can validate, accept, and challenge issues as a team; while also determining coping skills and solutions that are tailored to your specific needs.
