Hey there! I'm Jenn - a calm, compassionate, creative and dedicated child life specialist and child counselor who supports children and adolescents through life's challenges. I help children and teens navigate medical experiences, trauma, grief, and major life transitions by focusing on the emotional, social and developmental needs of children and families during medical and healthcare experiences. Child- and family-centered care is at the heart of everything I do. I combine evidence-based coping strategies with creativity, play, emotional safety and compassion—meeting each child exactly where they are.

Pain is the biggest fear for children during medical experiences. Together we can reduce fear, build resilience, and empower through both therapeutic and medical play, age-appropriate education and building a plan. I also support by offering the language to caregivers who are navigating hard situations and conversations with their children.

I use Play Therapy, as play is a child's natural medium for self-expression. At the initial intake I ask that caregivers attend without the child so that we can speak freely about what brings to you to seek therapy for your child and what you'd like to see change. During treatment, I will keep you involved in the process, and we will meet every 3-4 months to discuss updates and progress.
